Kendall & Josh’s wedding was our first at Iron Manor. What a beautiful venue. They truly didn’t spare a single detail in their design, making it a floral designer’s dream playground.
The indoor ceremony space at Iron Manor has incredibly high ceilings and industrial exposed beams that perfectly frame the cathedral-style window at the front of the space. Kendall & Josh rented an arch from Lovebirds Vintage that we accented with smilax and floral in classic ivories and blush tones. The aisle was lined with pew markers attached to the guest chairs.
Kendall & Josh’s reception design included centerpieces in a variety of heights and styles. We always recommend a few different styles of centerpieces to create some visual interest and complexity. The photos of their reception space are the perfect example of why this is important when designing a large space.
There are a few extra details at Iron Manor that we loved designing.
The first is the suspended grid structure that can be moved throughout the reception space. This flexibility allows your florist to easily accent the parts of the room that are most important to you. Kendall and Josh wanted to highlight their head table and dance floor, so we placed the structure above the dance floor, centered with the wedding party’s seating and draped smilax over the grid, making the head table and dance floor the focus of the room.
The second fun detail is the trellis built into the wall of the reception area. Kendall and Josh had a custom neon sign made that was attached to this trellis. We added smilax and roses throughout the slats, creating a statement (and a super fun photo op) in the sitting area near the corner of the room. Kendall and Josh did a fantastic job of taking advantage of the endless fun floral opportunities provided by the design details of the venue.
