Planning: A Splendid Event
This gorgeous day at Hughes Manor was one of the few days in Houston where the weather was perfect. Casey of Endless Exposures nailed capturing the weather with sweet beams of sunlight shining through some of the wedding party’s portraits below.
We’re typically either dealing with 100% humidity and 95-degree heat or a 35-degree drizzle during the winter, so when we’re ~*blessed*~ with weather like this, we take advantage. We did that on this day by stringing carnations from the arbor in the beautiful outdoor courtyard. We placed them at varying heights and depths across the arbor to give it dimension. The arbor created the perfect backdrop to the ceremony.
Inside, round guest tables were set with gold compotes featuring dahlias and garden roses. Greenery ran the length of the long guest tables and the head table. An abundance of taper candles and votives in various styles and finishes brought warmth and romance to the indoor space.
